Living in Buckhurst Hill gives me the best of both worlds for autumn family photography. I have Epping Forest right on my doorstep. Central London is also a short trip away. This makes it easy for me to choose between the natural beauty of the forest and London’s stunning parks. Choosing the Best Time for Your Session
Since I live close to both Epping Forest and London, it’s easy to plan the perfect time for my photoshoot. The “golden hour” just after sunrise or before sunset is the ideal time. This soft, warm light brings out the beautiful fall colors. I can enjoy the glowing light either in the city or the forest. If I can’t shoot during golden hour, overcast days work well too. Diffused light on cloudy days is great for avoiding shadows.
Dressing for the Occasion: Style and Comfort
Being so close to amazing locations, I like to keep my wardrobe simple and stylish. Autumn is perfect for layering cozy knits, scarves, and boots. Neutral or warm colors like browns, creams, and burgundy match the earthy fall tones. Comfortable clothes help us feel relaxed, which makes for more natural photos. Whether we’re walking through Epping Forest or exploring London’s parks, the right outfit is key to looking good and feeling comfortable.
