Thank you for visiting my website. I’m guessing you’d like to know more about me – so here goes!
I live in Buckhurst Hill, Essex with my two large, fluffy Maine Coon cats. I love to travel, go to the theatre and music concerts, and always enjoy a lot of good food and great wine (which I try to counter with lots of lovely walks and exercise!).
I went to North Staffs Polytechnic, now Staffordshire University, to study art, and I majored in Photography with a BA(Hons). After my degree, I took some time out to travel the world – and when I returned to the UK, I settled in London working in photographic retail, collaborating with top publishers and advertising companies. It was a very exciting time for me, and I absolutely loved meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their unique stories.
A while later, I started my little family. Like most new parents, I started taking photos of my eldest daughter when she was tiny, determined to capture all those special moments before they slipped through my fingers. As she got older, we started going to playgroups and nurseries, and it was there that I began my freelance journey as a family and portrait photographer.
I started by taking mini portraits for friends and family, but before long I was taking on headshots for corporate clients and documenting milestones at weddings and celebration parties. I spent my time editing my work in the evenings, when my little one was tucked up in bed.
After the birth of my younger daughter, life got in the way. I took a break, hung up my equipment and focused on nurturing my family and my home. But the lure of the camera was too great, and by 2014, I’d found my passion for my work again. I knew I wanted to specialise in Newborn Photography, so I trained with some amazing award-winning photographers in this field to learn how to capture the tiny details that make early years family photos so incredible.
By 2019, I had established myself as a family photographer and a corporate headshot photographer both in Essex and London – and it was at this point that I discovered the art of Personal Brand Photography. Now, I help solo entrepreneurs develop their personal brand and grow their business by providing a bank of beautiful images that will empower them to become visible. Through bespoke photography with a professional edge, I help these driven, ambitious individuals tell their story to the world with style and establish stronger connections with their dream clients.
